Ruslan Abashidze will be the first Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality

Ruslan Abashidze will be the first Deputy State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality.

From 1996 Ruslan Abashidze has worked on various positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. In 2013-2014 he was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the MFA of Georgia. In 2009-2013 he was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Estonia. Earlier, in 2006-2009, Abashidze was Deputy State Minister in the State Minister's Office for Conflict Resolution Issues. He was an adviser to the Permanent Representative of Georgia to Switzerland, deputy director of the Department of Relations with the European Union at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and etc.  

In 1997 he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Sokhumi Branch of Tbilisi State University. In 1997-1998 he studied at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.

He speaks English, German and Russian languages.

Ruslan Abashidze is married and has three children.
