The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with Peter Weibler, Mission Director of the USAID/Georgia.

The main topic of the meeting was the peace initiative "A Step to a Better Future" and was a work done within it. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili introduced the guest completed stages and planned steps in the process of its implementation. The USAID Mission Director has once again confirmed support for the project. The State Minister thanked Peter Weibler and emphasized the importance of the organization's role in the conflicts peaceful resolution. She noted that the implementation of a variety of projects aimed at helping people living in the occupied territories and promoting confidence building process is very important.

The current and planned projects of the US Agency for International Development were also discussed at the meeting. The discussion touched upon the necessity of deepening cooperation and development of bilateral relations.
