The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ruslan Abashidze held an introductory meeting with the representative of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Georgia Raimund Ielles.

The main topic of the meeting was the current situation in the Abkhazian region. The difficulties and challenges with which the local population has to deal.

During the meeting the activities of the organization and the projects implemented in the region of Abkhazia were also discussed. The importance of the Office of the State Minister of Georgia and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization’s relations was underlined. The sides also drew up plans to deepen their work.
