In the village of Kvemo Chala along the dividing line a meeting on gender equality issues, women and domestic violence, trafficking and state services for victims was held

On the initiative of the Office of the State Minister of Georgia on Reconciliation and Civic Equality, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, State Fund for Trafficking and Legal Aid Service a consultation meeting was held in the school of the village of Kvemo Chala (Kaspi municipality) along the dividing line.   

The school teachers, senior classes’ pupils and their parents attended the meeting. They were informed about the gender equality issues, women and domestic violence, risks and prevention, public services for trafficking victims.

Representatives of the Office of the State Minister, Human Rights Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Trafficking Fund and the Legal Aid Service Gori’s office in details discussed the above-mentioned topics and all the possibilities offered by the State to the victims of violence. 

At the end of the meeting the discussion was held. Participants were given the opportunity to ask questions.

The consultation meeting was held in the framework of the National Action Plan of 2018-2020 of the United Nations Security Council resolutions on women, peace and security, approved by the Government of Georgia on April 10, 2018.
