The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality commented on the information about the death of Irakli Kvaratskhelia, who, according to the Abkhazian side, committed suicide. As Ketevan Tsikhelashvili said, the state will use all of its existing instruments in order to investigate the case of Irakli Kvaratskhelia, born in 1990, and receive an accurate information about the circumstances of his death.
"In fact, all the available tools and all relevant agencies are already involved. We had communication and I personally talked to the EU special representative who was the co-chair of the Geneva discussions. Today, all three co-chairs are in Georgia, they will travel to Sokhumi tomorrow and, of course, we talked about this issue and that it should be one of the main topics during their visit. Also, criminal case will be opened and the case will be given a corresponding qualification.
"Of course this is a very serious factor because it concerns the life of a young man. I want to express my deep sorrow and condolences to his family", - said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
The State Minister also explained to the media that they are working on the transfer of Irakli Kvaratskhelia's body.
