The training course "How to Start and Develop a Business" for women from Pankisi, that was organized by the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, within the Pankisi Gorge Development Program, is finished. Today, the Deputy State Minister Lia Gigauri and the Deputy Director of the Academy of Finance Giorgi Razmadze handed over certificates to participating women. The authors of the best idea received the grant from the UN Women.
"One of the important directions in the Pankisi Gorge Development Program is the strengthening of women, because the socio-economic strengthening of each lady is the basis for social-economic strengthening of the entire valley.
"This project has allowed ladies not only to get theoretical knowledge about entrepreneurship, but also to develop the skills in order to know, how to transform business idea into business plan. This knowledge will be important in order to start a business. Strengthening women is one of the biggest challenges", - said Lia Gigauri.
14 women from Pankisi Gorge participated in the training course. The goal of the course was to increase women's entrepreneurial skills - to strengthen the practical skills of theoretical knowledge and business.
The project was implemented with the cooperation of the Academy of the Ministry of Finance with the support of UN Women.
