2 April 2019
April 2 is the birthday of Archil Tatunashvili. Today he would have turned 36. The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili was in the cemetery of Mukhatgverdi Brothers’ Cemetery and once again expressed her condolences to his family members.

"For more than a year, he was arrested illegally, tortured and killed in Russia's occupied Tskhinvali region. Those people who committed the crime are still unpunished. We are using all the levers available to hold them accountable. But today, our delegation in Geneva and the whole state will continue to fight in order to punish the perpetrators and prevent such cases in future. We need to achieve peacefully the goals, for which Archil Tatunashvili, Giga Otkhozoria, Dato Basharuli and many of our young people were fighting. Also Irakli Kvaratskhelia's case is yet to be investigated.

"I want once again express my condolences to his family. We remember and will always remember that Archil Tatunashvili is a hero and we will do everything to punish those responsible", - said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
