The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with students of the US National War College and representatives of various faculties.
The State Minister informed the delegation members about the situation in the occupied territories, the challenges created in humanitarian and security as a result of the continuous occupation. She also talked about the problems of the population living in the villages along the dividing line.
The conversation touched upon Russia's destructive policy and the results of this policy. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili emphasized the priorities and steps of the Georgian government's peace policy, which Georgia opposes Russia's policy.
In this regard, attention was paid to the peace initiative "A Step to a Better Future", which caused special interest in guests. The State Minister in details reviewed all aspects of the initiative. She pointed out that "A Step to a Better Future" is already in the process of active implementation. Tsikhelashvili talked about the benefits that the residents of the territories receive from this initiative.
