The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili held a meeting with EU Ambassador Carl Hartzell.

The main topic of discussion at the meeting was the peace policy of the Government of Georgia, its implementation and results. The State Minister spoke in detail about the steps that the Georgian authorities are making for peaceful resolution of the conflict.

The EU Ambassador was interested in the implementation of the peace initiative "A Step to a Better Future". He received a comprehensive information on the projects which are initiated and implemented.

Bilateral cooperation between the parties was discussed. The EU role as one of the most important actors in the peaceful settlement of the conflict was emphasized.
