The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili attended the presentation of the interim report of the Governor of Shida Kartli Giorgi Khojevanishvili, which also presented the projects planned for 2019.

According to the State Minister, last year a huge work has been fulfilled and there are more plans for the current year. As the State Minister said, the plans that are related to the conflict-affected population are especially important.

"This is a special region, which is actually wrecked by wires. Its development has vital importance not only for these villages and for the people living here but for the whole Georgia, for our peace policy. It is also important for those people who are still in isolation. Development of these villages means for them prospective future.

"In the future we will work and cooperate together in order to create more prospects along the dividing lines, to open up new opportunities for agriculture and tourism, bring people extra income. I once again emphasize that this region is special for me and of course all the initiatives which the local government has, and also the central government has, will be supported", - said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
