Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with Louiza Winton

The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with UN Permanent Coordinator and UNDP Permanent Representative in Georgia Louiza Winton.

The sides discussed the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia, exesting challenges and ways of solving them.

Ketevan Tsikhelashvili reviewed the peace initiative "A Step to a Better Future" and informed UN Permanent Coordinator about the steps taken by the Government of Georgia for the effective implementation of this initiative. In this regard, the State Minister emphasized the UN's special role and the importance of its further support.

The sides also discussed the involvement of the UN in the Abkhazian region and the activities of its various offices, the outcomes of ongoing projects and future initiatives. The State Minister emphasized the UN's significant contribution and support of the population living in the Abkhazian region and thanked Louisa Winton for close and effective cooperation.

The sides agreed on further deepening of relations.
