"I am glad that I am again in the Gorge. I was here half a month ago and met different groups of people. Today I am here with the Vice Prime Minister Maia Tskhitishvili in order to make even more tangible and concrete plans that the Government has in terms of development of the Pankisi Gorge and the different regions in general. As you know, the government's priority is to strengthen the regions.

"Together with the development of the valley, our task is to achieve more involvement of the population of Pankisi in the life of the country. Absolute priority, along with the infrastructure, is education. Now we met a group of young people on their initiative and I would be glad if more young people will get involved. We will only encourage it. I spoke to them about their specific plans. Including the possibilities of increasing the quotas allocated to young people from Pankisi Gorge in higher education. In general, the direction of education is the main priority for the State, including the budget allocations and I think that this will have its positive effect also on the Gorge", - said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.

Later, the ministers moved to the village of Matani, where the meeting was held. They received information on the needs of the population of the village and the needs of the valley in general. They talked about challenges and plans for solving challenges.
