With the initiative of the Office of the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and in coordination with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as with the support of Zugdidi Service of Legal Aid and Consultation and support of UN the information meeting was held in Jvari, Tsalenjikha Municipality.
Locals attended the meeting. They received information on sexual or other gender-based violence, domestic violence, risks related to security (such as trafficking, warfare, restrictions on freedom of movement, threats of unlawful detention, etc), as well as public services.
Representatives of the Office of the State Minister, Human Rights Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Zugdidi office of the Legal Aid Service in detailed discussed the above-mentioned topics and all the possibilities offered by the State to the victims of violence.
At the end of the meeting the discussion was held. Participants received answers on the questions they were interested in.
The consultation meeting was held in the framework of the National Action Plan of 2018-2020 of the United Nations Security Council resolutions on women, peace and security, approved by the Government of Georgia on April 10, 2018.
