Ketevan Tsikhelashvili made a report on the meeting with the EU Monitoring Mission and the Committee for Civilian Aspects of Crisis Management (CivCom) delegates

The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili made a report on the meeting with the EU Monitoring Mission and the Committee for Civilian Aspects of Crisis Management (CivCom) delegates.

The main goal of the meeting was to understand the position of the Government of Georgia on the resolution of the conflict and to see a wide picture of the occupied regions issues. The meeting was headed by Eric Hogg, the Head of the EU Monitoring Mission.

At the closed meeting the participants discussed important issues, which are accompanied by the EUMM mandate, their future activities, importance and the peace process, Georgia-EU relations. It was noted that the EU mission is not allowed to exercise the mandate beyond the division line.

Discussions also focused on the steps of Georgia towards the peaceful resolution of the conflict, preventing and neutralizing existing threats. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili talked about the peace initiative "A Step to a Better Future" and introduced the guests each direction, which includes the initiative.

After the report, the State Minister answered the delegates' questions. Discussion was held.
