Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with UN representative in Geneva Discussions Cihan Sultanoglu

The facts of human rights violations, the closure of the Enguri River so-called checkpoint and the Geneva International Discussions (GID) – these are the main topics of the meeting between the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and the UN Representative Cihan Sultanoglu at the GID.

Ketevan Tsikhelashvili talked about the situation in the occupied regions, including the restrictions imposed by the occupational regime. The conversation touched upon the 48th round of negotiations in Geneva, the importance of the existing format in the discussions was underlined.

The State Minister informed the UN representative about the programs implemented within the framework of the peace initiative "A Step to a Better Future".

Ketevan Tsikhelashvili noted that there is a great interest from the population living in the occupied regions towards this peace program and this is confirmed by the number of young people involved in the educational program.
