The Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Lia Gigauri visited the villages of Ninotsminda municipality Poka, Vladimerovka and Tambovka and met the locals.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Samtskhe-Javakheti Governor Besik Amiranashvili, MPs Enzel Mkoian, Kakhaber Okriashvili, Simon Nozadze and Ninotsminda Mayor Anivar Mosoyan, the challenges of the population in the region were discussed.
According to the Deputy State Minister, it is very important to meet with locals, because it is possible to get information about the existing problems directly from them.
“We provided then information about projects implemented by the State and talked about future plans. The state budget is planning right now, so the projects implemented by the Government in the regions must be agreed with the population and be responsive to their needs.
As regards tasks in terms of civic integration, the challenges related to the knowledge of the state language are very important. We must speak the same language and it must be a State language. Therefore, we have once again offered to visit the state language mobile groups in the region. They will help people who need to know the state language”, - said Lia Gigauri.
According to her, the needs of the people from these villages were mainly related to infrastructure issues. Discussions also focused on the rehabilitation of schools. Locals received comprehensive answers to the questions.
