State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell.

Current situation in the village of Gugutiantkari was discussed at the meeting. The State Minister briefed the Ambassador on the latest developments and the so-called illegal borderisation process.

The parties also discussed Georgia's Government peace policy, its implementation process and results. The State Minister spoke in detail about the steps taking by the Georgian government in order to resolve the conflict peacefully and to support the population affected by the conflict.

The State Minister thanked the Ambassador for the efforts made by the EU. The role of the EU as one of the most important actors in the process of conflict resolution was highlighted.
