The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany Hubert Knirsch.

At the meeting the situation in the occupied territories was discussed. The main topic was Georgia’s Governments peace policy and initiative "A Step to a Better Future", which is in the process of implementation.

The State Minister informed the guest about the steps taken and planned by the Government of Georgia to implement this initiative effectively. In this regard, she underlined the importance of Germany's role and its further support.

At the end of the meeting, Ketevan Tsikhelashvili thanked the guest for the contribution of the Federal Republic of Germany to the process of peaceful resolution of the conflict. The sides set out plans for future cooperation.
