Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Lia Gigauri met with the delegation of the Federal Republic of Germany. The delegation was led by Bundestag member Manuel Saracini.

Deputy State Minister provided the guests with detailed information on the situation in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region. They discussed the problems and needs of local people related to education in their native language, restrictions on movement, property and other rights.

Lia Gigauri later discussed with the Bundestag lawmaker the Georgian Government's peace policy and initiative "A Step to a Better Future". The meeting highlighted the importance and benefits of the peace initiative that the residents of the occupied territories and along the dividing lines will receive after the initiative is fully implemented.
