Illegal detention of Vazha Gaprindashvili and the challenges posed by the closure of the so-called checkpoint were discussed on the meeting of the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation Patrick Francen.

The conversation also touched upon the peace initiative "A Step to a Better Future" and the process of its implementation. The State Minister noted the benefits that residents of the occupied territories and along the dividing lines will receive after the initiative is fully implemented.

At the end of the meeting the sides expressed their readiness to deepen cooperation. Future plans were outlined.

The meeting was also attended by Daniel Mull, the Regional Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in South Caucasus.
