INFORMATIONAL MEETING ON GENDER EQUALITY, EARLY MARRIAGES, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL HARASSMENT HELD IN THE VILLAGE OF SADAKHLO
The Office of the Georgian State Minister's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Legal Aid Service in cooperation with the municipality of the village of Sadakhlo organized a meeting on gender equality, early marriage, domestic violence and sexual harassment issues.
The meeting was attended by the locals. Representatives of the Office of the State Minister, MIA and Legal Aid Service provided information on the above mentioned topics. In addition, they discussed with the population the opportunities offered by the State to the victims of violence.
A discussion was held at the end of the meeting. Participants received a comprehensive answer to each question.
These activities are the priority areas of the State Strategy on Civil Equality and Integration and the 2015-2020 Gender Mainstreaming Action Plan.
The event took place within the framework of the National Action Plan on Violence against Women and Domestic Violence 2018-2020 and the 16-day Global Campaign on Sexual Harassment, which Georgia joins every year.
