Lia Gigauri, Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality has made a statement regarding the Tskhinvali the so-called court decision to leave doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili in prison.

"Today’s decision once again clearly demonstrates the real face of occupation and is clearly aimed at escalating tensions.

From the very first minutes of Vazha Gaprindashvili's detention, the State Minister's Office, along with other relevant agencies, is maximally involved and uses all possible channels, mechanisms to achieve the ultimate result - the unconditional release of Vazha Gaprindashvili.

Of course, the state will continue to do its utmost to get this result as soon as possible”, - said Lia Gigauri.
