The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Slovakia Pavel Visdal.

At the introductory meeting the sides discussed the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia, the challenges of the population living on the occupied territories or along the dividing lines.

They highlighted the difficult humanitarian situation faced by people living on both sides of the barbed wire daily.

The State Minister briefed the guest on the Government’s peace initiative “A Step to a Better Future”, introduced the steps taken during the implementation of the initiative. The Ambassador reiterated the Slovak Government’s support for Georgia’s territorial integrity.

The sides expressed their willingness for close cooperation.
