Tamar Kochoradze, the Head of Department for Policy Analysis, Planning and International Relations of the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, held an online video meeting with Anna Capello, Head of Confidence Building Measures Division of the Council of Europe’s Directorate of Political Affairs.

The current and future projects of the Council of Europe in direction of Georgian-Abkhazian and Georgian-Ossetian confidence building were discussed at the meeting, which are being implemented in close cooperation with the Office of the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality.

The existing challenges and the possibility of organizing remote meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic were discussed.

The Georgian side thanked the Head of Confidence Building Measures Division of the Council of Europe’s Directorate of Political Affairs for involvement and close cooperation. Especially now, in the difficult situation caused by the global pandemic, when the Council of Europe is making every effort to implement projects to restore mutual trust.
