Unfortunately, the armed hostilities could not have been avoided back in 2008 and it is our obligation to respect the heroes who defended our country at the expense of their lives. For us August 8th is a sacred date. Those living in Tskhinvali are also delivering a tribute to the memory of the dead and I do hope that we shall mark this date in Tbilisi and Tskhinvali together, as far as this tragedy is common for Georgian and Ossetian people,"-Mr. Paata Zakareishvili declared.
