The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality delivered a speech at the Seminar “Step Forward on Georgia's Euro-Atlantic Integration.” Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili introduced Georgia’s peaceful course of conflict settlement, as well as the activities that are carried out and planned in frames of the State Strategy – Engagement through Cooperation.” Mrs. Tsikhelashvili also spoke about occupied territories, including the current human rights situation and humanitarian issues that are discussed at Geneva International Discussions.
According to the First Deputy State Minister, the Government of Georgia aims to support confidence building and reconciliation process and makes use of a number of instruments, including availability of medical services, for this purpose.
Mrs. Tsikhelashvili also responded to the questions of participants.
The seminar runs under the arrangement of the Office of the State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and NATO Liaison Office. Experts from the headquarters of NATO and representatives of the Embassies of the NATO Member States, accredited in Georgia and Government agencies of Georgia who are involved into the elaboration and implementation of Annual Action Plan took part into the seminar.
