Today the consecutive 65th meeting of Incident Prevention and Reaction Mechanism (IPRM) took place in village Ergneti. Participants discussed the incidents that occurred after the latest meeting, including the cases of illegal arrests and problems that affected populations on both sides of the divide due to illegal installation of barbed wires, artificial barriers and banners.
Representatives of the Central Authorities raised the issue of unimpeded access of local residents to the graveyards of their relatives on Easter.
Participants also discussed the possibility to carry out investigation on the death of Davit Basharuli afresh (the resident of Akhalgori) because of the dubious circumstances associated with his death. Conversation covered other issues of the agenda on a rolling basis.
The upcoming 66th IPRM meeting is scheduled for May 16.
The Central Authorities are represented by the Office of the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and State Security Service at IPRM.
