The next 9th meeting of EU-Georgia Human Rights Dialogue took place in Brussels. Mrs. Tina Ghogheliani, the Head of Department for Relations with International Organizations and Legal Provision of the State Minister’s Office for Reconciliation and Civic Equality took part into the meeting.
The Georgian side introduced specific measures taken for human rights protection to EU experts group. Remarkably, the conversation dealt with the rights of women, children, ethnic and religious minorities. The issues of media freedom and pluralism were highlighted as well.
According to Mrs. Tina Ghogheliani, the Georgian side paid a particular attention to gross violation of human rights in the occupied territories of Georgia.
The experts of the European Union gave a positive evaluation to the achievements with regard to civil integration and emphasized the need for effective implementation of the State Strategy on Civic Integration.
