The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mr. Paata Zakareishvili and the First Deputy State Minister Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with Co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Representatives of the PACE Monitoring Committee expressed interest towards the protection of rights for Georgia’s ethnic and religious minorities and their inclusive participation into the elections.
The State Minister gave an overview of the achievements and planned activities with regard to the integration of ethnic minorities under the auspices of the State Strategy on Civic Integration.
The two sides gave a positive assessment of the cooperation and emphasized the need for continued relations in future.
