Today the successive 66th meeting of Incident Prevention and Reaction Mechanism (IPRM) took place in village Ergneti. Participants discussed the incidents that occurred after the latest meeting, including the cases of illegal arrests and problems that affected populations on both sides of the divide due to illegal installation of barbed wires, artificial barriers and banners.
Participants also discussed the possibility to carry out repeated investigation on the death of Davit Basharuli (the resident of Akhalgori) because of the dubious circumstances associated with his death. Conversation covered other issues of the agenda on a rolling basis.
The Georgian side raised the issue of damaged cemetery of Bondo Gochashvili, died in 2000. The cemetery is located in village Kheta, occupied territory. Participants agreed to conduct legal inquiry of the subject concerned.
The upcoming 67th IPRM meeting is scheduled for June 26th.
