On May 27 after the four-year break the meeting of Incident Prevention and Reaction Mechanism (IPRM) will take place in Gali.
At the meeting the Georgian side will raise the issue of murder of Georgian citizen on May 19 by so called “border guards” stationed at the occupation line, in village Khurcha of Zugdidi district.
The Georgian side has conducted intensive meetings with the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia and Co-chairs of Geneva International Discussions.
On 19 May at around 14.30 PM, in the vicinity of dividing line the armed person fired Giga Otkhozoria to death, the resident of village Barghebi, Gali district. Following the incident, emergency transported the injured person with multiple wounds to Zugdidi hospital, where he died.
