In the framework of the meeting, representatives of the Central Government of Georgia discussed the issue of murder of the Georgian citizen Giga Otkhozoria in the village of Khurcha, Zugdidi District, by the so-called “border guards” deployed along the occupation line.
Georgian side demanded the occupation forces and DE facto government to extradite the person accused in murder to Georgia in order to bring him to Georgian justice. Representatives of the Central Government shared the materials of the case, in particular, DNA, ballistics and forensic medical examination results.
The discussions were also held on illegal detentions of citizens of Georgia on “so-called” border crossing charges, as well as so-called “borderisation” process, which causes serious problems to local population both on the occupied territories and on the territories controlled by the Central Government of Georgia.
Georgian side also raised the issue of illegally detained Georgian citizen Giorgi Lukava.
