The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with the Delegation of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) Election Observation Mission (EOM).
At the meeting the members of the delegation expressed interest towards the involvement of ethnic minorities into the electoral process.
Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili stressed that comprehensive inclusion of ethnic minority representatives into the political life of Georgia is a priority for the Government, noting that many steps are taken for ensuring their access to electoral process.
Addressing the members of the delegation, the State Minister introduced the State Strategy on Civic Equality and Integration and respective Action Plan for 2015-2020, emphasizing that civil integration of ethnic minorities remains one of the top priorities for the Government.
The meeting took place under the arrangement of the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities.
