The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili congratulates 27 October – the Abkhaz Language Day. “The Abkhaz Language Day is equally important for Abkhazian and Georgian communities, as a whole. Abkhaz Language is the State Language, together with Georgian on the territory of Abkhazia and is protected by the Supreme Law of Georgia – the Constitution. This is the dignity which unities us. Our societies still suffer from the burden of tragedy that we all went through. However, we should try to follow the path to reconciliation altogether. We need to create a common, European state, where the interests and development of all ethnicities are safeguarded and ensured. We should continue to march on this path through perpetuating the values, like the language, that is one of the essential pillar of ethnicity in past and future,” – Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili declared.
