Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with representatives of the European Union

The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with representatives of the European Union - Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia Janos Herman, Head of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia Ambassador Kęstutis Jankauskas, political adviser of the special representative of EU in South Caucasus Björn Kühne.
The State Minister provided the representatives of EU with the information about the situation in occupied territories of Georgia. Especially, human rights and humanitarian issues and the situation along the dividing lines. She once again drew attention on the closure of the Orsantia-Otobaia and Khurcha-Nabakevi crossing points.

"The closure of these checkpoints is absolutely unacceptable and directed against the interests of people. I want to once again turn to all parties involved in the decision to realize the gravity of this action for the population of the entire region", - Ketevan Tsikhelashvili said.
The State Minister also talked about the peaceful policy of the government of Georgia, the role of European Union and UNMM in this process. She thanked the guests for strong support of Georgia and expressed hope for further cooperation.
