Petre Kankava attended the integrated lesson in Abkhazian language

The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mr. Petre Kankava attended the integrated lesson in Abkhazian language in the Abkhazian public school №2, located in Vashlijvari.
During the integrated lesson pupils introduced the guests history, geography and cultural heritage of Abkhazia in Abkhaz and Georgian languages. Besides, they recited the poems of Abkhazian poets. At the end of the lesson children wrote their wishes on a symbolic "Wishing Tree".
“Studying the Abkhaz language is our priority. It is very important that classes of the Abkhaz language function in public schools of Abkhazia, as well as of Adjara. Interest in its study by children from refugee families is very high and they already have good results. Language, culture and traditions respect can become a bridge between the divided societies”, -said Kankava.
The Acting Chair of Government of the A/R of Abkhazia, Vakhtang Kolbaia and the first Deputy of a Minister of Education and Culture of the A/R of Abkhazia, Manana Kvachakhia attended the integrated lesson in Abkhazian language.
