Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with permanent representatives accredited to the UN

The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with permanent representatives accredited to the UN.

She provided the guests from different regions information about the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia, including the issue of human rights protection.

"I informed the members of the UN delegation about the restrictions on human rights, illegal detentions and the restriction of freedom of movement along the dividing line. We also talked about the russification process in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region. The right of people who were evicted from these regions to return to their homes was emphasized. I also introduced the Permanent Representatives to the UN with the Georgian Government's peacekeeping vision, priorities of reconciliation and engagement policy. It is very important to provide them with this information and have UN support on these issues", - said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.

The aim of the visit of the Permanent Representatives Accredited to the United Nations to Georgia is the introduction with the culture, government reforms and the country's economic opportunities.
