The Office of the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality organized n Zugdidi the informational meeting of participants of the Geneva International Discussions and NGOs.
The meeting held at USAID Center for Civic Engagement. The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mr. Petre Kankava and the the Acting Chair of Government of the A/R of Abkhazia Vakhtang Kolbaia met with representatives of non-governmental organizations and UN Women's Program. They provided the participants information about Geneva International Discussions.
"On the Geneva International Discussions I lead a group working on humanitarian issues and inform the participants about these issues. In particular, the central question of the group’s agenda remains the decent and safe return of IDPs. Also, we always discuss such issues, as the freedom of movement, education in native language, cultural heritage protection etc. It is important to inform the representatives of non-governmental and international organizations about these issues. It’s very important for me to know their opinions", - said Peter Kankava.
The event was held within the framework of the National Action Plan of 2016-17 of the Government of Georgia and serves to raise public awareness of women, peace and security.
