The members of the group were met by Nodar Tangiashvili, Head of International Organizations and Legal Provision Department and Giorgi Tumanishvili, Deputy Head of the Administrative Department.
The members of the Youth Parliament presented their ongoing and past activities. The young leaders also shared their plans with the representatives of the Office and asked them to share their own experience.
"Several weeks ago the Youth Parliament set up a commission tasked to work on reintegration issues and it has several specific projects. We shared our plans with the representatives of the Office of State Minister for Reintegration and we agreed on specific issues. Specifically, the Office will help us with advice and recommendations. So, we hope for an active cooperation in future", said Marekh Gvaramadze, Administration Head of the Youth Parliament.
Nodar Tangiashvili, Head of International Organizations and Legal Provision Department, noted that the meeting was interesting and useful.
"I am glad that the youth are so actively involved in a whole range of issues, including reintegration and conflicts. They have many interesting ideas and a huge enthusiasm to play their own role in bridging the gap between the divided communities. We welcome this and pledge to help with all we can", said Nodar Tangiashvili.
Giorgi Tumanishvili, Deputy Head of Administration Departament, added that with the Youth Parliament specific issues and forms of cooperation were discussed.
"We introduced the activities of our office to the members of the Youth Parliament. We also listened to their plans and spheres of interest. Areas of common interest were identified, including in terms of conflict settlement. We agreed to provide recommendations on concrete initiatives of theirs", said Giorgi Tumanishvili.
