She visited Akhalkhalaki together with the deputies of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection and the Ministry of Agriculture.
Ms. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili attended the opening presentation of branch offices in Akhalkhalaki and Ninotsminda of the organization "Youth for the Development of Javakheti", organized at local administration building. According to Ms. Tinatin Akopian, the Head of Akhaltsikhe Office, speaking at the presentation, the goal of the organization is to support the integration of ethnic minority representatives into Georgian community, adding that the organization will provide study of Georgian and English languages, the computer programs and legal counseling.
Ms. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili delivered a speech, noting that ethnic diversity is the wealth of Georgia.
"The State Language awareness determines the future of success. One of the main directions of our policy is that each citizen should enjoy the possibility of receiving education, so as to continue further academic process in Europe. After the Association Agreement is signed, each citizen of Georgia will have its own path to Europe", - Ms. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili declared.
The importance of ethnic diversity was emphasized by Mr. Badri Bagration-Gruzinski, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Monument Protection as well, noting that Akhalkhalaki will soon have its cinema and three cities of the region will be granted with new folk musical instruments.
In his part, Mr. Davit Galegashvili, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, spoke about the planned agricultural programs, including the summer projects.
Following the presentation, the local children gave Georgian and Armenian national choreographic and musical performances and read poems into English language.
