Dr. Gernot Erler is the Special Representative of the Federal Republic of Germany on the Issues of German 2016 OSCE Chairmanship, the Coordinator of the Relations with Russia, Central Asia and Eastern Partnership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.

The meeting concerned the issues of EU-Georgia cooperation in frames of the Association Agreement and the prospects of deepening this cooperation. Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili emphasized the importance of the EU engagement in the conflict settlement process, with a special focus on the role of Germany, as immensely important partner for Georgia.

Representatives of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, the Embassy of Germany and experts took part into the meeting as well.
