The 2011 summary meeting of the State Interagency Commission for the Implementation of the National Concept for Tolerance and Civil Integration and its Action Plan was chaired by the State Minister Ms. Eka Tkeshelashvili. The meeting discussed implementation of the activities provided for in the 2011 Action Plan. State Minister commended the Commission for the work it has done and stressed its successful functioning. State Minister states that in 2012 the Office of the State Minister for Reintegration will continue actively coordinating implementation of the National Concept for Torelance and Civil Integration and the respective Action Plan.

The Commission members, who are representatives from various agencies, reviewed activities implemented in their respective fields throughout 2011. They underlined the positive outcomes with respect to cultural activities, access to higher education, economic integration of the regions with the centre, employment, infrastructural development, village support, raising awareness on healthcare and social services programs, teaching state language and other directions of state activities in the regions dominated by ethnic minorities. Commission members expressed their satisfaction with the degree of cooperation with the non-governmental sector and noted the close coordination that exists within the Commission.
