The meeting was also attended by HE Mr. Ian Biggs, Australian Ambassador to Georgia and other Australian diplomats. State Minister welcomes the recent development of close partnership between Australia and Georgia. She discussed the current situation in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali Region created as a result of Russian occupation and violation by this latter of international law, including the facts of non-compliance with the Six-Points Agreement. During the meeting Ms. Eka Tkeshelashvili also talked about the diplomatic efforts of Georgia and the achievements in implementation of Engagement Strategy in the areas of health-care, Status Neutral Documents and people-to-people contacts. Special representative of Australia once again expressed support for Georgia’s territorial integrity.
