Georgian delegation was first to hold bilateral meetings with newly elected President Mr. Danilo Medina and former President of the Dominican Republic, Mr. Leonel Fernandez. During the visit bilateral meetings were also held with official delegations of the Dominican Republic, Republic of Costa Rica, Republic of Honduras, Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Republic of Guatemala, Republic of Ecuador, Republic of Suriname and Republic of Peru. The meetings concerned the perspectives of deepening and development of bilateral and multilateral relations between the countries.

Visit of the Georgian delegation to the Dominican Republic was intensively covered in the local media.
