Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with Thorbjørn Jagland

The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with Thorbjørn Jagland, Secretary-General of Council of Europe. During the meeting the situation on Georgia’s occupied territories was discussed.
The State Minister provided Secretary-General of CoE with the information about the human rights protection and humanitarian issues in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region.
"It is extremely important to provide the Council of Europe with the full information about these issues, as it continues the consolidated statement of the General Secretary "The conflict in Georgia ", which deals with the difficult situation in the occupied territories of Georgia. The Council of Europe is also actively participated in the confidence building process and I thanked the Secretary-General for this. At the meeting we also talked about our problems and peaceful approach to the question, "- said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
During the meeting Tsikhelashvili and Jagland also discussed ethnic minorities issues and the steps for their integration.
Ketevan Tsikhelashvili and Thorbjørn Jagland agreed on further cooperation.
