The photo competition “Diversity of our Country,” dedicated to the International Day for Tolerance continues. The competition runs under the arrangement of the State Minister’s Office for Reconciliation and Civic Equality.

The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality made a presentation on the results of the activities of State Minister’s Office in last three years. Mr. Paata Zakareishvili presented a report in frames of the “Georgian Government for Open Governance” programme, before media.

The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality met with Boriss Cilevics and Kerstin Lundgren, co-rapporteurs for the monitoring of Georgia by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

Today the First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality delivered a report before the Members of Parliament. Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili provided information on the results of the activity of State Minister’s Office to the members of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee and the Interim Commission on Territorial Integrity.

The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili chaired the Working Group on Humanitarian Issues. According to Mrs. Tsikhelashvili, the Georgian side has critically raised the issue of education into Georgian language in Gali district.

Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili and members of the delegation discussed the importance of the activities carried out by the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia and talked about the expectations prior to the next round of Geneva International Discussions.

The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality paid a tribute to the victims who died during the fall of Sokhumi, commemorating the memorial with flower bouquet.

The next 58th meeting of Incident Prevention and Reaction Mechanism took place in village Ergneti. The sides discussed the incidents that occurred after the previous meeting.
