The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with the Special Representative of the European Union in the South Caucasus, co-chairman of Geneva Discussions Herbert Zalber.

The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mr. Petre Kankava participated in the working meeting on family violence and the violence against women. The meeting was organized by the Council of Europe and the Gender Equality Council of the Parliament of Georgia.

"You are working in the conditions of the special challenges, you are the heroes of our times", - Ketevan Tsikhelashvili addressed with these words to the teachers who work in the schools near the dividing line, who participated in the conference "Teacher - guide to Europe".

The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with the Head of the European Commission Trade Directorate Luke Devin.

The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with permanent representatives accredited to the UN.

The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mr. Petre Kankava made a report in the Parliament. During sitting of the Human Rights and Social Issues Committee he provided the participants information on implementation of recommendations of the Public Defender’s report on Human Rights State in Georgia for 2016 year.

The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili is on a working visit to the Vatican.

The First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mr. Petre Kankava delivered a speech at the conference “Reconciliation policy amid new challenges”. He talked about the situation on the occupied territories of Georgia and future prospects, the reconciliation and engagement policy of the Government of Georgia, as well as the special role of international and non-governmental organizations in the peace process and the necessity of continuing cooperation in this regard.
