Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality held an official reception dedicated to the International Day for Tolerance. Representatives of legislative and executive chambers of Georgia, Diplomatic corps, international and non-governmental organizations attended the reception.

On the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance, the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili has met with the students, delivering a public lecture on “Civic Equality – Basic Directions of State Policy” at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

The Frist Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mr. Petre Kankava has met with the Human Rights Expert Ms. Megi Nikolson. The expert has visited Georgia on the occasion of USAID-funded program Promoting Rule of Law in Georgia (PROLoG), under the invitation of the joint project of the European Union and United Nations “Human Rights for Everyone.”

The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili took part into the award ceremony of International Exhibition of Lidice Children’s Artworks. The ceremony took place under the arrangement of the Embassy of Czech Republic to Georgia.

The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili congratulates 27 October – the Abkhaz Language Day. “The Abkhaz Language Day is equally important for Abkhazian and Georgian communities, as a whole. Abkhaz Language is the State Language, together with Georgian on the territory of Abkhazia and is protected by the Supreme Law of Georgia – the Constitution. This is the dignity which unities us. Our societies still suffer from the burden of tragedy that we all went through. However, we should try to follow the path to reconciliation altogether.
