The Acting State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili has met with Ms. Anna Capello, the Head of Division, Directorate of Political Affairs, Council of Europe. CBM projects (confidence building measures) implemented by the Council of Europe and current situation in occupied territories were discussed at the meeting. According to Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, the Council of Europe has a significant role in peace-building process, noting that initiatives of the Council of Europe support reconciliation and confidence building.

Representatives of State Minister’s Office introduced children’s folk literature to pupils. In their part, the children performed poetry in Georgian and Khundza languages, and also music. By the completion of the meeting, SMRCE representatives granted books to school libraries and office appliances to freshers.

The State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili met with the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairmanship-in-Office on Gender Issues Ambassador Melanne Verveer. The issues of gender and women’s participants were discussed at the meeting.
